Rayiwayi Upenyu Design Academy
A new school campus was planned close to Norton to enable young people in Zimbabwe to access education who would otherwise be prevented from doing so for financial reasons. A network of artists, musicians, architects, educational experts and volunteers worked together to raise funds for the Rayiwayi Upenyu School. The school deliberately follows the family structures and everyday roles of the economically deprived students. It provides an optimised school programme that accepts primary school children at the age of eight and guides them towards university entry at the age of twenty.
